Editorial Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Purpose

APY Hub publishes informational content about decentralised finance (DeFi) yield products. This document describes how that content is sourced, verified, reviewed, and updated. Our goal is to give readers an accurate, up-to-date picture of DeFi yield opportunities while being transparent about where data comes from and where editorial judgement is applied.

2. Data Sources

All yield (APY) and total-value-locked (TVL) figures displayed on APY Hub are sourced exclusively from DeFiLlama, an independent, open-source DeFi analytics provider. APY Hub does not:

  • Modify or interpolate DeFiLlama figures
  • Forward-project or estimate future APY
  • Accept paid placement to alter pool rankings

Pool data (contract address, underlying tokens, chain, protocol name) also originates from DeFiLlama's pool registry. The data pipeline refreshes approximately every four hours via an automated process. Any figure on the platform reflects the most recent DeFiLlama snapshot and may differ from the live on-chain rate by a few hours.

3. Editorial Content

Beyond the live data tables, APY Hub publishes educational guides on each pool page explaining:

  • How the pool generates yield (fee-based, lending interest, or token incentives)
  • Risk factors specific to that pool type (impermanent loss, smart contract risk, liquidity risk)
  • Step-by-step guides for depositing and withdrawing

This editorial content is written by the APY Hub team and reviewed by Ankit Sharma, a crypto analyst specialising in DeFi protocols and yield strategies. Ankit reviews content for factual accuracy — specifically that yield-type descriptions, risk disclosures, and protocol mechanics are correctly represented. He does not alter or endorse the live data figures.

4. Review Frequency

Pool pages are reviewed when material changes in pool mechanics occur — for example, when a protocol changes its fee structure, incentive programme, or risk profile. The dateModified field in each page's structured data reflects the most recent content review date. Static data tables update every four hours regardless of editorial review cycles.

5. YMYL and Accuracy Standards

DeFi yield content falls under "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) guidelines because users may make financial decisions based on it. APY Hub applies the following standards:

  • No factual claim is published without a verifiable source (on-chain data, DeFiLlama, or protocol documentation)
  • Risk disclosures are written to reflect the actual risk of each pool type — not minimised to improve conversion
  • No forward-looking APY projections are published as facts
  • "Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice" is displayed on all pages with active yield data

6. Affiliate Disclosure

APY Hub partners with select cryptocurrency exchanges and DeFi platforms. Some links on this site — particularly "Start Earning," "CLAIM BONUS," and "Get Exchange Bonus" buttons — are affiliate links. If you click such a link and sign up or make a deposit, APY Hub may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence:

  • Pool APY or TVL data (sourced from DeFiLlama, not partners)
  • Pool rankings (sorted by TVL or APY, not by affiliate relationship)
  • Editorial risk assessments or factual descriptions

Affiliate links are clearly distinguished from organic content. The disclosure text "Affiliate disclosure: APY Hub may earn a commission from partner links on this page" appears alongside every offer section.

7. Corrections Policy

If you find a factual error in any APY Hub content, please email mail@apy-hub.com with the URL and the specific claim you believe is incorrect. We aim to review and address corrections within five business days. Substantive corrections are noted in the page's dateModified field.

8. Independence

APY Hub operates independently of any DeFi protocol. No protocol has editorial input into how its pools are described, ranked, or risk-rated on this platform. Pool descriptions are based on DeFiLlama data and publicly available protocol documentation.
